A stroke happens when blood flow to part of the brain is suddenly blocked or a blood vessel bursts. Every minute counts.
Recognise a stroke with FAST
- F – Face: Does one side of the face droop?
- A – Arms: Can they raise both arms?
- S – Speech: Is speech slurred?
- T – Time: Note the time and get to a hospital immediately.
